Turkey Sausage
 Breakfast sausage patties made with lean ground turkey.

  • 1 lbs lean ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (only with 93% lean)
  • 2 tsp mesquite seasoning
  • 2 tsp no-salt seasoning (onion, garlic powders)
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, (optional)
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek, (optional)
  • 1 tsp oregano, fennel seeds, or marjoram (optional)
  • ⅓ cup seasoned bread crumbs

Using mortar and pestle grind dried herbs and seeds. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients until evenly distributed using a fork or hands, adding additional breadcrumbs as needed. Preheat non stick skillet on medium heat. Form into patties about 2 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick and place into skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes per side until browned and done.
