 Blonde brownies with chocolate chips and not too much butter.

  • 2 cups white flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ⅔ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup pecans, chopped (optional)

Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking pan, preheat oven to 350 ℉. In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Melt butter, stir in sugar, add eggs and vanilla, beat lightly until just blended (do not over mix). Stir in flour, chocolate chips and nuts. Spread batter in pan, bake for 25 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm.
