 Ingredients
  • 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and grated or minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Mirin (味醂), Shaoxing wine (紹興酒) or dry sherry
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Gochujang (고추장), or Sriracha
Instructions

Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl or large zip-lock bag. Cut salmon into strips, add to marinade and massage until thoroughly coated. Marinate for at least an hour. Make a foil boat using 2 layers with edges turned up enough to keep marinade and juices contained. Heat grill with broiler on high, and cook for 3-5 minutes until salmon flakes (130 ℉). An oven using broiler setting for 3-5 minutes works well too. Let rest for a few minutes before serving over rice with green onion or sesame seed garnish.

 Notes

This cooks fast so try roasted garlic or microwaving garlic cloves for a minute if it's too raw.
